MOON CO-OP
MOON Co-op (Miami Oxford Organic Network) is a consumer-owned, professionally managed, full-service natural foods grocery store in Oxford, Ohio, established to provide sustainable, organic, and locally sourced products. Owned by over 1,000 community households, it fosters a local economy by supporting regional vendors, featuring a deli, and operating as a community-focused, accessible market for the public.

Why they're 513 Green?
The Co-op originated from a buying club in 2001 and, in 2011, opened a brick-and-mortar storefront at 512 South Locust in the Tollgate shopping center, not far from the Miami University campus. It is dedicated to providing alternatives to conventional supermarkets. Below are some factors that set them apart.
Mission: Empower community members to live sustainably by offering ecological, natural, and local products. This is painted in big letters on our wall.
Ownership: It is a cooperative, meaning it is owned and operated by its members rather than corporate interests. Most owners are in the great Oxford area.
Products: The store specializes in organic produce, local meat, dairy, gluten-free items, over 230 bulk goods, house-made deli items (sandwiches/salads), and house-made Grab-&-Go items.
Community Impact: Located in Oxford, it serves as a hub for sustainable, ethical, and healthy food choices, often sourcing from over 40 local producers, as seen on a large map on display. This helps economic sustainability by recirculating shoppers' food dollars in the local area.
Accessibility: Open to the public, not just members, and accepts SNAP. The hours are Sun 10:00-6:00 and Mon-Sat 9:00-8:00 with special holiday hours.
